Student Orientation Leader

Imagine greeting students into their very first college experience. Encouraging them to get involved. Providing tips and tricks you learned along the way. However, this experience was not just about helping students. It was about self growth. I learned how to be a positive, inspiring influence. I learned how to approach others and handle situations. I even learned how to be a good public speaker. 

Amidst this opportunity was a life changing experience full of introspection. I learned that I am capable of managing and entertaining a group of 20 students. I have the confidence to get on a stage and introduce myself. In addition, I have a much bigger impact on this world than I once thought I did.

I chose this experience because it helped me find my way through college. I built connections with kind, inspiring people. I discovered all of the different opportunities within my reach. I became curious of what more college has to offer. This created a path towards a new beginning, full of opportunities that set me apart from the average student.
